My credentials include an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a career as a technology data analyst, programmer and project manager designing, crafting and implementing services and products in customer service, heavy industry, health insurance, retail, nonprofit and government. I am a third generation Vacaville native with kindness, conservation, and curiosity for life as core values. I seek solutions when faced with problems and find the facts, uphold the rule of law and collaborate with all stakeholders. The ten years I served the non public safety departments at the City of Vacaville taught me vital negotiating skills navigating the bureaucratic hierarchy and understanding the commitment taken by those in public office. It will be my priority to bring people together, listen to your concerns and be proactive in finding solutions. I am an artist and homemaker, a land steward and an independent thinker. A time comes when a person is called to serve and while it is not easy it’s the right thing to do. Our land is rich with natural resources that must be protected for future generations. We are the bread basket in Solano with rich soil, water rights and a pioneer spirit to build a better tomorrow.
I listened to the live feed and while I sounded like a newbie (and I am) I made relevant points worth expanding upon.
Economic Development – The cities of Vacaville and Dixon have City staff to serve their constituents needs and concerns while the unincorporated region of District 4 primarily agriculture and watershed rely on county administrative staff to regulate and govern over the growth and development sought by the land owners in the region.
7 pm 2nd Thursdays at the admin building in Fairfield -next meeting March 15, let’s hope they don’t cancel it…..
My feeling is that people living and working their land here in unincorporated Solano County need a voice and are not heard by their representative, so I aim to change that.
I don’t have the answers to everything but I know how to persist and focus asking questions, making an evaluation and being brave enough to try a solution. We need to work together, have more conversations and look for what we share in common that will bear fruit if we tend to it. Organic growth that originates from a pressing need not unlike barn raising of the past, we need to do some barn raising to stay viable and be part of the overall strategic vision we desire for our lives.

So glad to have my blog back so check back for updates on my campaign for supervisor district 4 which is Vacaville and Dixon. The land is 3/4 agriculture and 1/4 watershed. Lets get a little credit here in the north for feeding people and providing clean water.
Reserve a space at yogabyvictoria.com/retreats for our first ever collaborative event here at Mt. Vaca retreat (aka Eleanors homestay) If you can take a little side trip on Hi 128 to Lake Berryessa on the way stop at Putah Creek fishing access # 3 for a stroll along this refreshing creek.
Camp here and see the stars at night.
Where theres a will theres a way, they say Yeah? To expand my capacity to offer a nature retreat to more people means I need to handle the added human waste disposal but wait, why not use this valuable resource? There is only one reseller of the Separett a toilet that separates the liquid from solid waste in the USA, really? Entire cities in China are designed with this water saving, earth enriching technology. I’ve just begun my understanding of this work and need to get THE BIG NECESSITY The unmentionable WORLD OF HUMAN WASTE by Rose George to really own my venture. For now, I just want to facilitate the growing number of visitors to my homestay retreat in an eco friendly way.
