Welcome to Eleanor’s Homestay Retreat where we invite you to rejuvenate in nature
This is a sanctuary located centrally in Northern California within easy travel distance to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and the Napa Wine country (about 40 minute drive) and 7 miles to the nearest town of Vacaville. Historic Winters is 25 miles away and Lake Berryessa is nearby for boating enthusiasts. Lake Solano is just a 10 minute drive where you can picnic, swim and go rowing.
We simply loved this place and everything in and around it. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to the SF Bay Area. P.S. my dad especially loved the cast iron fireplace.
Thank you so much to welcome us into your home for our civil engineering club (CAL construction) logistical prep retreat! We were continually amazed by the magic spots on your property. It was truly something else.
We loved our time at the cabin. Eleanor was a very endearing person. She took us on a personal hike through the creek, my kids age (7 & 8) loved the trip. We will be back for sure.
Located on the headwaters of Ulatis Creek
The area is a natural sanctuary with the woods and the creek nearby. The main house dates back to 1916 when it was a one room school house and is loaded with charm and character. Over the last 20 years Eleanor has developed gardens and landscaping that blend with the native habitat and plants such as wild plum, blackberry and grape vines. During your stay you are encouraged to explore the creek and gardens.
Meditation and nature walks
Nature is a great setting for meditation or just taking time for yourself sitting outside. Get out your walking shoes and walk or run Mix Canyon, a well established fitness route for the locals.
